Remember Leah Culver? She was the girl from San Francisco who sold advertising space on her MacBook Pro in order to raise the money to get one. She was successful of course, since it was a great idea.
Well, now I hope to find out if the same place will work in Singapore. I am running MacRyu and all my other projects, including my various CCA positions on a pretty much dated iBook G4, and I need something more powerful(not that I don’t love my G4, I absolutely adore it, which is why I wish to retire it to less stressful tasks at home).
Here is the deal. I will sell advertising space on my future MacBook for the same stuff, the only difference being that instead of employing laser etching, I will have ShuffleArt print the designs on one of his MacBook/MacBook Pro protectors to be stuck on to my MacBook. The MacBook will be used all around Singapore, in my various meetings with vendors, Apple, and business associates. As part of the agreement, I also agree not to tear off the advertising protector from my MacBook for at least a period of two years.
Here are some examples of how the MacBook will look like with the cover.

ShuffleArt is better for advertising since the colours still strike out more than laser etched images, thus the choice. Not to mention that laser etching on the MacBooks will look ugly!
Prices are like this. For every square inch of advertisements on the MacBook Cover it will be 100 Singapore dollars. For every square inch of advertisements on the MacBook Wrist Protector, it will be 50 Singapore dollars.
Too expensive? You can also donate to us! If you appreciate our efforts here at MacRyu, do support us through a donation.
We really hope to get your support. Once again, thanks so much.
