Steve Jobs’ thoughts on Flash

An extensive piece by Steve Jobs about his thoughts on Flash, and why Flash will never be on the iPads, the iPhones, the iPods, and possibly any non-Mac OS X device that Apple introduces in the future.

Here’s the full piece.

It’s extremely well written, like his previous piece on music DRM(which effectively killed music DRM), and hopefully this will eventually bring about the death of the shittiest piece of junkware the web has ever known (hey, at least java is being used in online banking). From what the responses I have been seeing over the net, there is now a majority of people who are educated enough on the topic to understand that Flash is useless and must die, a big difference from the early days when majority of the common people think that the only way they can get their Youtube fix is through having battery life-eating Flash installed on their laptops.
