iPhone 4 in Singapore

I’m sure this is no big news, but according to at least 2 different inside sources and another well-informed source, a shipment of iPhone 4s are already on Singapore shores since more than a week or two ago and more than a couple of people have already touched the phone.

Oh and the lucky Apple Singapore execs who get to get (not buy) the iPhone 4 quite a bit earlier than the Singaporean launch for themselves and their families.

And what can the common people like us folks look forward to?

Oh well, at least there will be some iPhone 4s locally for a July launch. And we won’t be forced to wait until August or something.

iPad to be available in Singapore only in July 2010

Apple announced earlier today that the iPad, the holy grail of all tablets (except the one with commandments on it), will only be in Singapore in July, as I predicted earlier. Singapore, together with 8 other countries including Hong Kong and NZ, will be the third batch of countries that the iPad will be made available to after the US launch and the End May International launch.

Pricing will only be available later in July, but it’s pretty likely that the prices will be higher than that of those in the States.

P.S. When Apple says July, they often mean late July, and this is no exception.

The Apple iPad in Singapore? When and Where?

So yeah, the world finally has their God Tablet – the Apple iPad.

Most of the general predictions about a March shipping date are not exactly wrong, for the WIFI-only versions will ship in March, while the WIFI+3G versions, will sadly only be available from April.

Steve Jobs, during the keynote mentioned that their mobile data deals with international carriers will only be done in the June-July timeframe, which made many hearts skipped a beat when people outside the States thought they will only have their iPad earliest 6 months later.
