No wonder they don’t want to release the prices yet. They are afraid of a Rogers-like backlash here.

iFlexi Premium – $205 – 1500 MB Data – 1500 Mins Outgoing Voice – 1500 SMS
Additional data usage charged at 1cent for each 2KB extra. These plans also come with 3 value added services free (Voicemail, roaming and Caller ID)

Singtel built mini-5th Ave Apple Store lookalike glass house for iPhone launch?

Could this glass house or whatever it is be part of the launch plans for the iPhone?
It’s Tuesday, I reckoned we will hear something from Singtel by today. Hopefully.
Singtel announces iPhone 3G for Singapore on August 22nd

One interesting fact is that Singtel claims that the iPhone runs on not only 3G, but 3.5G (HSDPA). If that is the case, our iPhone will run much faster than the US one. Wonder how true this is.
Edit: As our commenter points out, the iPhone 3G has always been HSDPA right from the start, somehow the comments over in the states about having only speeds around the 700kbps mark always gave me the impression that it was 3G rather than 3.5G.
Yes yes, I know I should have posted this long ago. I was lazy. Here’s it anyway. The email from Singtel basically announcing that the iPhone will be in by the end of the month.

Reuters reports confirms MacRyu’s earlier iPhone reports

This is in sync with our earlier reports about having the 3G iPhone launch before September, rather than the original September release the local mass media has been trumpeting for months.

Reporting live from the NUS laptop sales at NUS Multi-Purpose Sports Hall 1, the Mac booth has attracted, among the many Mac faithful and new switchers, the sales personnel from other booths, with some of them essentially pledging their interest to purchase a brand new Mac with, ironically, possibly their paycheck earn from the sales of Acer, Fujitsu and Toshiba laptops.

National University of Singapore Matriculation Fair Laptop Sales for Mac

Those of you entering NUS soon do look for me if you have any questions regarding Macs or if you want to purchase a MacBook/Air/Pro for your Uni life.
I’ll be easy to spot. I’ll be wearing white/blue hair color during that week.
