Micro 2000 expanding

Micro 2000, one of the long-time Apple authorised service centres and certainly one of the best if not the best, is apparently moving out of their long time location at BMW Performance Centre at Alexandra. They are now at Sunshine Plaza, and will apparently open other branches elsewhere in the Republic. Will update with more info and the official address soon.

Usually I like to recommend my friends to go directly to iShop for servicing, due to the general dislike for the other Apple authorised reseller in Orchard, but ever since the other shop outsourced the servicing to Diversitec/Sapura, word has it that the service has improved.

However, since Micro 2000, easily my first choice for servicing, is now at Sunshine Plaza, there is no reason for anyone to go to either iShop or Epicentre to do your servicing. Just pop down to Dhoby Ghaut!

Edit: As noted by _dren_, Micro2000’s main office is also moving out from Alexandra Road and shifting to Joo Seng Road.

New iMacs due next week. Expect price drop in Singapore

According to Appleinsider, new iMacs will be out, finally, next tuesday, 9 months after the Aluminum iMac was first introduced last August.

As with the recent price drops in MacBooks and MacBook Pros locally due to the weakening US dollar, expect a good price drop on the iMacs as well.

Quick update on the Singtel iPhone news

Just a quick update on the Singtel iPhone news we got several weeks earlier. According to sources, the announcement/news might have been released to the media by a certain someone from Club21’s iShop, and might not be that accurate after all.

So is the iPhone coming in September or not?

We hope so. Will report back again when I have more news. And yes, technically speaking the hiatus is still on.

3G iPhone in June

Proxy reporting here. As the rumors go, we should be expecting a 3G version of the iPhone just before June hits.

My take on this? I don’t really care. Maybe if they include a camera at the front of the iPhone so that you can better take pics of yourself then……

Here’s a video of Watt Mossberg giving us the news at the 6:53 mark.

Adobe should burn in hell

Photoshop sucks. Adobe sucks. Everyone gets a kick out of pirating Adobe software, just like how everyone does with each pirated copy of Microsoft software.

No 64-bit Photoshop for Mac till CS5? You know what, Adobe? You can keep your CS5 for yourself and your Microsoft bitches.

Photoshop will become irrelevant in 2 years. Die. Photoshop. Die Adobe. Die Lightroom. Die.
